Representatives and delegations from state agencies in China and the business sector in Thailand attended the opening ceremony of the “The 10th China-ASEAN (Thailand) Commodity Fair”. They included Ms. Zhang Xiaoxiao, the counsellor of Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of People's Republic of China in Thailand; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bhokin Bhalakula, President of the Thai-Chinese Culture and Economy Association; and Mr. Narongsak Puttapornmongkol, President of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Alan Lee, Vice General Manager of China Foreign Trade Guangzhou Exhibition Co., Ltd, an organizer of the exhibition, said China Foreign Trade Center Group is an agency under the supervision of China’s Ministry of Commerce. It is also the main organizer of the Canton Fair. The company is responsible for promoting foreign trade and services and fostering collaboration on economy, trade and cultural exchange between China and Thailand. The first China-ASEAN (Thailand) Commodity Fair was organized in 2011 to serve as an integrated commerce platform for exporting good quality products made in China to the global markets. The exhibition also aims to raise awareness about Chinese quality goods and branded products among Thai consumers as well as presenting Thai and Chinese entrepreneurs with business growth and investment opportunities. For this year’s event, it highlights a combination of trade fair and conference in order to improve the standard and efficiency of trade and exhibition in Thailand. More than 300 leading Chinese manufacturers confirmed to participate in the 10th China-ASEAN (Thailand) Commodity Fair to present their products and services. They are from Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guizhou and Ningbo provinces.
