These advantages create tremendous opportunities for Thailand to position itself as a world-class Wellness Hub. The country also has a forward-looking vision for integrated health development, combining medical services with architectural design, as reflected in numerous projects. At BDMS Wellness Clinic, for example, our architectural approach centers on universal design, ensuring accessibility and comfort for all. Meanwhile, BDMS Mövenpick Wellness Resort prioritizes holistic relaxation through features such as sleep-enhancing room layouts, brainwave-reducing systems, and air-purification technologies that provide guests with clean, healthy air. Every element embodies the principle of ‘design for well-being,’ elevating the standards of Thailand’s health and wellness industry to an international level.”
Asst. Prof. Dr. Surapong Lertsithichai, Chief Design Officer of Idyllias Co., Ltd., presented a long term vision of the future of architecture—one that requires the integration of Human Intelligence, Living Intelligence, and Environmental Intelligence. These three dimensions, he noted, must be grounded in “SATI” (mindfulness) and “WISDOM” in order to create living environments that are balanced, harmonious, and compatible with all forms of life. He emphasized that the modern concept of well-being will not considered only on the quality of human life, but it must include all beings to encompass the entire ecosystem. Meaning that all animals, plants, and other natural elements will be considered as important factors during the design process. Mindfulness, he stressed, is an essential skill that enables designers and developers to understand and respect the inherent intelligence of nature, guiding the direction of future design.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Surapong also highlighted the crucial role of Artificial Intelligence in interpreting the patterns of life and nature into actionable data. This capability allows architects to respond more profoundly to the needs of both humans and the environment, shaping built spaces that more deeply understand life and align seamlessly with natural systems.
Looking ahead to the future of Thai and global architecture, he expressed his view that maintaining a balance between nature and Artificial Intelligence will drive the emergence of a new architectural paradigm—one that is adaptive and regenerative across buildings, public spaces, and urban planning. Such an approach, he noted, will create a development framework that aligns with global sustainability standards.
Architect’26, held under the concept “SATI : WISDOM : PROMPT,” is scheduled to take place from 28 April – 3 May 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok. To facilitate visitor convenience, the organizers will provide free shuttle van services between the event and two MRT stations, MRT Chatuchak Park and MRT Rama 9, operating from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. For more information and updates, please visit www.ArchitectExpo.com or follow the Facebook page : งานสถาปนิก : ASA EXPO.
