7 April 2026: The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB, welcomes IBTM world for their launch of IBTM Asia Pacific 2027 in Bangkok, the first Asian edition of the European leading MICE trade show in its drive to tap into the Asia Pacific market. IBTM Asia Pacific is scheduled to take place from 9–10 June 2027 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangkok.

IBTM World is one of the leading European MICE trade shows serving as a business platform for MICE sellers and buyers from around the world. It has been annually staged in Barcelona, Spain since 2004. IBTM Asia Pacific marks a significant milestone for Thailand in elevating its role as a “MICE industry hub of the Asia-Pacific region.” IBTM Asia Pacific will serve as a platform connecting buyers and suppliers from around the world through a Smart Matchmaking system, enhancing the efficiency of business negotiations. The event will bring together MICE businesses from international markets, associations, organisers, and suppliers to drive high-quality growth of the MICE industry.

The Asia-Pacific region is the third-largest MICE market in the world, with an estimated value of USD 231.49 billion in 2026 and projected to grow at an average rate of 12.6% through 2029. This reflects the region’s strong potential and presents an opportunity for Thailand to position itself as a hub for international business connectivity. Bangkok offers comprehensive readiness, including world-class venues, infrastructure, transportation, and high-quality accommodation, as well as strong support from both the public and private sectors and visa facilitation policies, reinforcing Thailand’s strength as a global MICE destination.

IBTM Asia Pacific 2027 is scheduled to take place from 9–10 June 2027 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC). The event will feature a range of business meetings and activities, including knowledge-sharing sessions, practical workshops, and networking opportunities. A Welcome Party on the first day will serve as a key highlight, showcasing Thai cultural identity while creating opportunities for participants to connect.
